A Six-Word Photo Story

. . .

I stood waiting while she decided where to sit hoping to capture her simple flair and charm in the streaming light. But she chose to quietly pose in front of the gray wall and sit quietly on the dead brownish fronds of a palm tree.

The humility of this unobtrusive friend reminded me of these words of wisdom.

There’s no need to show off when you know who you are.
—Maxime Lagacé

Even when it speaks, humility listens.
—Thomas Merton

We come nearest to the great when we are great in humility.
— Rabindranath Tagore

And always—

Be kind. Be brave. Be you.
